Helen Faye Thomson

Helen Faye (Faulk) Thomson, 93, of Brookshire, Texas, walked into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in Katy, Texas.

Helen was born April 9, 1929, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Hervie and Norris Faulk.  In 1940, the Faulk family moved to Texas.  She grew up in Brookshire, Texas, graduating from Katy High School.  On June 14, 1947, Helen was united in marriage to John “Buck” Thomson, Jr. in Brookshire, Texas.  Helen worked hard as a non-foods manager at Brookshire Brothers for over 40 years.  She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Brookshire.  Helen was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.  She treasured every moment she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

She is survived by her brother: Don Faulk and wife Joyce; son: John Thomson, III; daughter: Lisa Ivy and husband Willy; grandchildren: Melissa Ortiz and husband Ernesto, Courtney Blincow and husband Kam, Brooke Bowron and husband Matthew, Matt Thomson and wife Deborah, Amy Murphy and husband Joe, and Travis Manning and wife Krystal; great-grandchildren: Kayla Ortiz, Jayden Ortiz, Ella Blincow, Turner Bowron, Kaci Thomson, Harper Thomson, Raylin Murphy, Riley Murphy, Raina Murphy, Rachael Lapaglia, Tanner Manning, and Reese Manning; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Buck Thomson, Jr.; parents: Hervie and Norris Faulk; brothers: Dale Faulk and wife Shirley, Winfred Faulk and wife Margie; sisters: Katherine Crouch and husband Wade, Carol Jean Faulk; and daughter-in-law: Susan Thomson.


Pallbearers were Ernesto Ortiz, Kam Blincow, Matthew Bowron, Matt Thomson, Joe Murphy, and Travis Manning.
