JAMES DONALD MULLENIX of Bellville, Texas, was born in Mansfield. Louisiana, on December 21, 1945. He passed away from a heart attack in Bellville on May 1, 2022. Don graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Indiana, in 1964 and served in the Air Force after a year of playing football in college at Murray State in Kentucky. Don had a big love for football and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas, Jr. and Gladys Evelyn Mullenix, and sister, Marjorie Elizabeth Mullenix. Don is survived by his wife: Sandra Klorres Mullenix, sisters: Dorothy Evelyn Mullenix Timmons of Longview, Barbara Sue Mullenix of Cypress; stepson: Cory Alan Marmor, and his wife, Lisa Grubbs-Marmor, of Texas City; grandsons: Mason Alan Marmor, and Michael Grubbs; granddaughters: Savanna Grubbs, and Serenity Grubbs; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Per Don’s request no service is scheduled at this time. His plans were to be cremated and interred in the Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.
