Jeff Clifton Saeger, Jr., 76, of Brookshire, Texas, concluded his Earthly journey on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He is survived by his devoted wife: Juanita Saeger of Brookshire; cherished daughters: Veronica Michelle Saeger, Anna Ruth (Saeger) Meade and husband, David, and Tara Robbins; sons: Jeff Clifton Saeger, III and wife, Erica, of Brookshire, John T. Acfalle and wife, Valerie, of San Antonio, Shawn T. Acfalle and wife, Nadine, of Brookshire and Manny T. Acfalle and wife, Jessica, of Kileen; grandchildren: Briana Simpson, Kathyrn O’Sullivan and husband Andrew, Aston Watts, Bernardo Meade, Isaiah Meade, Cheyenne Saeger, Cassie Saeger, Delilah Acfalle, Kaleo Acfalle, Kaylee Acfalle, Nadalee Acfalle, Junior Acfalle, Shaydine Acfalle, Emmalee Acfalle, Isabella Acfalle, Jestiney Acfalle, and Sophia Robbins; great grandchild: Skylar O’Sullivan; and caring older sister: Ruth Anne Saeger. Jeff was born April 24, 1947, in Harlingen, Texas, the son of Jeff Clifton Sr. And Ethel Mae (Gooch) Saeger. He grew up in Harlingen and graduated from Harlingen High School in 1966. Jeff made his home in Katy, Texas in 1986. On July 7, 2010, Jeff was united in marriage to Juanita Baza Techaira. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed camping, farming, reading, and woodworking. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents: Jeff & Ethel Saeger. As a courageous veteran, Jeff valiantly served two tours for the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was part of the Brown Water Navy, patrolling and engaging along the Mekong Delta. His bravery earned him the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Metal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Post-war, Jeff dedicated years to the oil and gas industry, excelling as a lead mechanic for offshore and on shore operations. In 1992, he ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing what was known as Auto Air of Katy and followed with the opening of Tubes and Hoses of Katy in 1997. Tubes and Hoses of Katy then evolved into what is now Katy Hydraulics, LLC. His excellence of service gained a reputation for custom automotive and hydraulic applications still practiced today. He will be fondly remembered as the “Old Man of 1463”. Jeff’s incredible legacy continues to impact the Katy area and beyond.
