Jeffrey "Jeff" Jack Boggan

March 26, 1957 — September 11, 2024

JEFFREY JACK “Jeff” BOGGAN, 67, of Pattison, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Katy, Texas.

He was born March 26, 1957, in Kingsville, Texas, the son of Billy Jack and Evelyn Marie Schier Boggan.  Jeff grew up and attended schools in the Bellville area graduating from Bellville High School in 1975 as the class Salutatorian.  In 1978, he attended the University of Texas until 1979.  Jeff went on to enroll at Southwest Texas State University in 1982, graduating in 1984 with Distinguished Honors in Business.

He was employed for over 40 years with Johnstone Supply in Houston.  Jeff was a member of the Houston area League of PC Users at Hal-PC, the Houston Cactus & Succulent Society, International Defensive Pistol Association, and these were just to name a few he was involved with and enjoyed very much.

In his spare time, he was a certified master diver, cave diver and rescue diver, tending to his cactus and succulent plants, and spent a lot of his time in his greenhouse growing beautiful cactus and succulents.  Jeff loved his animals and spending time with all of them and had many that he had rescued.  He visited many gem and mineral shows, spent countless hours studying Astronomy and had a vast knowledge of this as well.  The highlight was having his family attend the shows with him.

Jeff loved his family and enjoyed visiting with his mother and siblings whether it be on the phone or at family gatherings.  He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved very much.  Jeff always had some type of adventure for his sisters and brother growing up.  He would plan these things knowing that they had not experienced any of this before.

Jeff loved his mother and was very much dedicated to assisting in caring for her.  He would go every Saturday like clockwork to take her out to dinner, and a movie or shopping.  Jeff never skipped a Saturday or holiday.

Jeff was an amazing son, brother, and uncle.  He provided us with so many beautiful and fun memories that we will cherish forever.

Jeff is survived by his mother: Evelyn Boggan of Brenham; siblings: Lisa Menke and her husband, Matt, of Bellville, Jacque Fenster and her husband, Brett, of Denton, John Boggan and his wife, Shannon, of San Angelo, and Lynda Murski and her husband, Darrell, of Brenham; nieces and nephews: James Griffin, Charles Griffin, Carrie Poffenberger, Brittany Bennatt, Mindy Guerrero, Maci Alanis, Nathaniel Fenster, Nicholas Fenster, Sean Fenster, Justin Boggan, Jonah Boggan, Steven Murski, and Ashley Murski; numerous other family and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father: Billy Jack Boggan, sister-in-law: Barbara Boggan, nieces: Adrina Boggan and Lily Poffenberger; nephews: Jackson Boggan and J.J. Poffenberger.

Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to your local animal shelter or rescue of your choice in Jeff’s name or the charity of choice.
