JIMMIE ESCAMILLA, 64, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2022, in Cypress.
He was born February 25, 1957, in El Campo, Texas, the son of Pascual Longoria and Flavia Camacho Escamilla. Jimmie grew up and attended schools in the Houston area. Later, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country until he was Honorably Discharged in 1981. Jimmie moved to New Ulm in 1989, then to Sealy in 2014, where he was employed as a welder.
Jimmie was united in marriage to Luz Salinas, on January 9, 2015, at the Houston Texas Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sealy, 2

Counselor in the Bishopric, and was a missionary. His joy was his grandkids, but his true love was fishing.
He is survived by his wife: Luz Escamilla of Sealy; son and daughter-in-law: Joel and Sherri Escamilla of Columbus; son: Jeremy Escamilla of Bryan; grandchildren: Pria, Ethan, Trey, Shane, and Keegan Escamilla; and numerous other family and dear friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Pascual and Flavia Escamilla, brothers, Alexander and Chris Escamilla, sisters, Linda, Areola, and Faye Escamilla.
