Jo Ann (Buchtien) Schrader

Jo Ann Schrader, 60, of Bellville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, in the early hours on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at her home with her husband by her side. She was born on November 17, 1957 in Houston, Texas, to Leon and Joyce (Schlabach) Mantey. Jo Ann moved to Brenham at very young age and graduated from Brenham High School in the Class of ’76. Before entering the banking business, she was employed at Norman’s Pharmacy in Brenham. Her career in banking begin at the age of 20 and continued until January 2017. Jo Ann loved to travel and shop, but her true love was serving others, her customers and her team. She had a true servant’s heart. She is survived by her husband: David Schrader of Bellville; Son: Eric Buchtien and his wife, Lindsey, of Bellville; and daughter:, Jenn Buchtien of Rosenberg; father: Leon Mantey of Brenham; brother: Clint Mantey and his wife, Terry, of Brenham; step-daughters: Candice Lopez and husband, John, of Sealy, Sarah Schrader of Kenny and Jennifer Riley and her husband, Aaron, of Copperas Cove, Texas; grandchildren: Mikahil, Emma, Audrey, Kaitlyn, Matthew Riley, Avery and Bailey Lopez. Proceeded in death by her mother, Joyce Mantey and her first husband, Roger Buchtien.
