Jonathon Thomas Owens

JONATHON THOMAS OWENS, 28, of Brookshire, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at his home. Jonathon was born January 22, 1989, in Odessa, Texas, to parents Brett and Zulema Tijerina Owens.  An honor graduate, he graduated from Mayde Creek High in Katy in May 2007.  Jonathon then attended the University of Houston where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in May 2014.  He then served his country in the United States Army in the Military Police, earning the rank of Specialist.  He was honorably discharged in June 2017.  Jonathon enjoyed playing video games. He is survived by his father:  Brett Owens of Houston; mother:  Sue Owens of Brookshire; brother:  Nathan Todd Owens of El Paso; paternal grandparents:  Jack H. Owens and Patricia Ann Owens of East Wenatchee, Washington; maternal grandmother:  Adela Tijerina of Dilley, Texas; two aunts:  Toni Miller and her husband, Jerry, of Maple Valley, Washington and Terri Balcom and her husband, Brad, of East Wenatchee, Washington; 7 aunts, 4 uncles; and many other dear friends and other relatives.  Jonathon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Santos Tijerina.
