Joseph Larry Fontenot

JOSEPH LARRY FONTENOT, 78, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by those he loved on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

Joseph was born April 19, 1941, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, the son of Alvin and Elsie Fontenot. He grew up in Ville Platte, Louisiana, graduating from Ville Platte High School. On October 8, 1960, Joseph was united in marriage to the love of his life, Tracy Guillory. Joseph worked as a mechanic, retiring from Crown Lift Trucks. He and Tracy were members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pattison, Texas. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, camping, and fishing.

Joseph is survived by his wife: Tracy J. Fontenot; sons: James Kevin Fontenot and wife, Cheri, and Bryan Keith Fontenot and wife, Valerie, all of Brookshire, Texas; grandchildren: Ashley Pierce and husband, William, Brianna Fontenot, Dustin Fontenot, Shelby Fontenot, and Peyton Fontenot; and brother: Joseph Bradley Ortego of Eunice, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Paul Butnier Ortego and John Lander Fontenot.
