Joyce "Mimi" Lalonde

JOYCE (DIETZ) LALONDE, 71, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at her home.She was born October 4, 1946, in Eunice, Louisiana, the daughter of Tommy and Aspz (Begeron) Dietz. Joyce grew up and attended schools in the Eunice area, graduation from Eunice High School as Salutatorian. She was united in marriage to Clarence Lalonde on September 26, 1964, in Eunice, Louisiana. They made their home in Louisiana, before moving to Sealy.Joyce was employed as an Office Manager in the Human Resources Department for Wal-Mart Distribution Center. She was a member of The Shepherd’s Way Church in Sealy. Joyce enjoyed gardening, exercising, bowling and shopping with family and friends, and loved to play pinochle. Joyce is survived by her husband Clarence Lalonde of Sealy; daughters, Stacie Welch of Sealy and Michelle Lalonde of Houston; son, Mitchell Lalonde and his wife, Beth, of Leander; grandchildren, Paris Benavides, Cody Lalonde, Cara Lalonde, Meagan Scanlon, Jack Baker, Sammy Baker, Maisie Clark and Beau Welch; and great grandchildren, Savannah Scanlon and Rilee Scanlon. She is also survived by her brothers, Arthur Dietz and his wife, Theresa, of Jasper and Roy Dietz and his wife, Nancy, of Eunice, Louisiana.Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and her son-in-law, Mike Welch.
