JUSTIN TY HERNANDEZ, 17, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, in Ledbetter, Texas. He was born on April 30, 2000, in Katy, Texas, the son of Tracy Wendt Corum and Jerry Hernandez. Justin grew up and attended schools in Bellville. He was the oldest of four children and loved being a “Big Brother” to Preston, Rustin and Lily. Justin was a member of the Future Farmers of America and he was also involved in Ag. He spent his free time working on his truck, dancing and drawing. Justin is survived by his mother and step-father: Tracy and Cody Corum of Bellville; father and step-mother: Jerry and Shelly Hernandez of Ledbetter; sister: Lily Corum; brothers: Preston Hernandez and Rustin Corum and step-sister: Lillee Richey. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents: Della and Bill Naquin, and Wilbert and Freda Wendt, all of Bellville; paternal grandparents: “Wela” Guadalupe and “Welo” Guadalupe Hernandez of Ledbetter; step-grandmother: Jean Corum; aunts and uncles: Michelle and David Mitchell, Mayra Hernandez and Eddie Hernandez; and cousins: Dalton, Gunnar, Ashley and Josh; and other family members and a host of friends. Justin was preceded in death by his great grandparents and uncle, Chief Master Sergeant Kevin Wendt.
