Karen Renee Crocker, 56, of Brookshire, Texas, tragically passed away on Tuesday, January
21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Born on July 3, 1968, in Richmond, Texas, Karen was the cherished daughter of Bill Crocker
and Joyce Dobord. She had a passion for baking and often delighted family and friends with her
delicious creations. Her culinary skills were matched only by her deep pride in her children, Jay
and Jessica, who were the center of her universe.
Karen had a remarkable ability to connect with those around her; her infectious enthusiasm and
warm spirit drew people in and created lasting relationships. Friends and family alike were
touched by her kindness, making her a beloved figure among them.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Roger Lang, who resides in Brookshire, Texas. Her
son, Jay McCain, lives in Sealy, Texas, and her daughter, Jessica McCain, has settled in Corpus
Christi, Texas. Karen also leaves behind her cherished sisters: LaTrisha Calhoun, along with her
sons Wallace and Joshua Rayburn from Mississippi; LaTona Crocker and her husband, Mike
Jackson, and their son Nathan Calhoun from The Woodlands, Texas; and Kimberly Wachel,
along with her sons Marshall and Justin, also from The Woodlands. The family is further
enriched by a large circle of friends and cousins, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Karen was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bill Crocker and Joyce Dobord, who were
instrumental in shaping the remarkable woman she became. Her memory will continue to live on
in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
