Karen Lynn Cohn Gilbert, 60, of Katy, Texas, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, in Katy, Texas.
She was born October 24, 1964, in Marlin, Texas to Leslie and Clara Cohn.
Karen grew up in Katy, Texas where she graduated from Katy High School. She went on to attend Blinn Jr. College in Bryan. She settled in and was working as an accounting manager for Spectrum Concrete Restoration for over 15 years.
Karen had a lifelong love for animals and the outdoors. She never wanted to miss a chance to hunt or fish while enjoying being with her son or enjoying the Frio River. She always had a smile on her face and an even bigger smile on her face when she had the opportunity to dance. She loved to throw on her boots, jeans, and hat to have a great time out on the dance floor. When at home she could be found cooking up a good meal in the kitchen. She was proud to be a sponsor for the Texas State of Mind Cookers at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for many years. Everyone that knew her instantly loved her. She could light up a room with her enthusiasm, love, and warm spirit.
She is survived by her husband: Kenneth Duke of Katy, TX; Father: Leslie Cohn of Katy, Tx; brother: Keith Cohn and wife Christy of Katy, TX; and her puppy: Monster
She was preceded in death by her mother: Clara Kubiak Cohn; and son Garrett Gilbert.
