KATHLEEN (HENNELLY) MANESS, 44 of Sealy, Texas, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home.
She was born April 23, 1975 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Michael and Maureen (Tumulty) Hennelly. Growing up in a military family, Kathleen lived and attended schools around the world including Germany, Illinois, North Carolina, Kansas and Panama. She attended James I O’Neill High School in Highland Falls, New York while her family lived at West Point. While in high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and a forward on the O’Neill girls’ soccer team. When her family moved to Arkansas, she attended the University of Arkansas where she won a prestigious internship and spent the summer of 1996 as a reporter for the Baltimore Sun newspaper. Graduating in 1998, she was united in marriage to Tommy Maness. They were subsequently blessed with a son, Tieran. She was employed as a strategist and research marketing director at the Walmart corporate headquarters. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing, photography, art and culinary art.
Kathleen is survived by her husband: Tommy Maness of Sealy; her son: Tieran Maness of Sealy; brothers: Sean Hennelly and his wife Aiko and Brian Hennelly and his wife Emily, all of Bentonville, Arkansas; parents: Michael and Maureen Hennelly of Rogers, Arkansas; sister-in-law: Wanda Brast and her husband, Victor, of Cat Spring; and numerous nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
