Kenneth “Neal” Harlow, 87, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
Neal was born on February 7, 1937, in Glen Rose, Texas, to L.C. and Edyth Estelle (Newman) Harlow. He grew up in the Dallas area, attending Crozier Technical High School and Duncanville High School. Papa Neal lived in Duncanville before making his home in Brookshire, Texas. He applied his talents for many years as a lithographer. On July 28, 1990, Neal was united in marriage to Sharon McCartney in Frydek, Texas. In his spare time, Papa Neal enjoyed gardening, fishing, and was a formidable game night card player. He was an avid armchair sports fan. He loved watching the Cowboys, the Mavericks, the Stars, but especially the Rangers.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Harlow of Brookshire; daughters: Vicky Wiley and husband, Mike, of Richardson, and Holly Bray and husband, Rod, of Carrollton; son, Marc McWhorter and wife, Jacky, of McKinney; grandchildren: Trey Stapleton, Toni Maniatis, and Austin Craft; brothers: Wesley Harlow, Anthony Harlow, and Truitt Harlow; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Neal was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Craft; parents: L.C. and Edyth Harlow; sister, Vinita Brogdon; and brother, Terry Harlow.
