Larry Guy Verret

LARRY GUY VERRET, 86, of Arnaudville, Louisiana, passed away, Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Sealy, Texas. He was born November 6, 1936, in Morgan City, Louisiana, the son of Whitney Joseph and Stella Anna Gautreaux. He grew up in Berwick, Louisiana, and graduated from Morgan City High School. Larry was united in marriage to Betty James Burgess, on December 8, 1956, in Berwick, Louisiana. They had three daughters, Dana, Kerril, and Jodi. Larry was employed as a salesman for an oilfield company for many years. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed hunting and golf. He was a member of the Berwick Volunteer Fire Department, a Sunday School Teacher, and was a Little League Baseball Coach. He moved to Texas in 1982, before calling Arnaudville home in 2002. Larry is survived by his wife: Betty; daughters: Dana Huddleston and her husband, Wayne, Kerril Tucker, and Jodi Jett, and her husband, DJ; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister: Cherry Nini; and numerous other family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Stella Verret, brother, Whitney Verret, and sister, Joyce Keller. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
