Larry "Punk" Ratjen

Larry “Punk” Ratjen, 78, of Bellville, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Larry was born in Sealy, Texas on April 15, 1940 to Henry Frank Ratjen and Alvina (Kollaja) Ratjen. He graduated from Bellville High School, and attended Blinn College. He served in the United States Air Force obtaining the Rank of E-4. He married Linda Bolten Franke on November 27, 1982 at the Nelsonville Brethren Church.Larry was active until the last week of his life, playing golf, bowling and enjoying his grandchildren. He was a regular Columbus Morning Golfer, and member of the Recycled Teenagers bowling league. Larry retired from San Bernard Electric Cooperative in 2002 after 35 years of employment.A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife; Linda Ratjen of Bellville. Daughters; Phyllis Franke McClellan and husband Mark of Costa Mesa, CA, and Kathy Franke Gohlke and fiancé Pat Lester of Katy. Grandchildren: Scott McClellan, Hunter, Sarah, and Lauren Gohlke.
