Lawrence Miller

Lawrence B Miller of Ottawa, Illinois passed away December 14, 2020, at the Carriage Inn in Katy, Texas.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois, June 22, 1929.

Lawrence was a military veteran in the Marine Corps.  He fought in W.W. II and Korean Wars.

After his military duty he attended Bradley University where he played football, graduated and met his lovely wife, Beverly.  They moved to Ottawa, Illinois in 1963 where he taught Industrial Arts and started the Building Trades class at Ottawa High School.  He retired from teaching in 1988.

Larry coached football and track where he received many honors for his coaching.  He was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion and the Moose Club.  Larry enjoyed traveling, trout fishing and also like to get away as a private pilot.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beverley Miller, son Evan Miller and his wife, Donna, and daughter, Jan Williams and son-in-law, Johnny.  He has 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
