Leo Luke Giametta, 75, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2021, in Katy, Texas.
Leo was born June 21, 1946, in Houston, Texas, to Sam Joseph and Francis Marie (Mangiameli) Giametta. He grew up in the Spring Branch area, graduating from Spring Branch High School. Leo then made his home in Brookshire. He worked for many years as a night security officer and in the maintenance department at Canino Produce in Houston. For 10 years, Leo was active in the United Way Senior Center in Brookshire. Leo was a passionate fisherman. He also enjoyed music, especially 70s music and country western, and dancing.
He is survived by his special friend: Lois Fort of Pattison; sister-in-law: Susan Giametta of Katy; nieces: Christine Giametta Coats of Katy and Dana Giametta Johnson and husband, Jeremiah, of Fulshear; nephews: Dominic Giametta, Jr. and wife, Leslee, of Fulshear and Joseph Giametta and wife, Emily, of Richmond; eight great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends throughout the Brookshire and Houston area.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Francis Giametta, and brother, Dominic Giametta, Sr.
