Lillian Marie Williams

LILLIAN MARIE SPINKS WILLIAMS was born on August 1, 1955, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Louis Harm and Lillian Beatrice Foster Spinks. Lillian grew up and attended schools in the Hempstead and Spring Branch areas. She was a resident of Brookshire since 1982. Lillian met and married Billy Williams, on April 8, 1987, in Hempstead, Texas. They made their home in Brookshire. Lillian worked at Fillips BBQ in Sealy, Repka's, Hardtimes BBQ and Southern Kitchen. She was also a longtime employee of Kathleen's Korner. Lillian was well-known in the area and abroad. She was a dedicated volunteer to numerous organizations such as the Brookshire-Pattison Volunteer Fire Department, Food Pantry, Kids Unlimited Foundation and Friends of Royal FFA. She also helped raise money for the Brookshire-Pattison Volunteer Ambulance Corps, assisted with the Brookshire 4th of July Celebration, the Christmas Celebration, and she played Mrs. Claus for the Kids Unlimited Foundation Christmas Party. She enjoyed cooking, gambling, volunteering, working puzzles, reading and drinking coffee with the Southern Kitchen morning coffee group. Lillian passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at her home in Brookshire, at the age of 56 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her HUSBAND: Billy Williams of Pattison; SON: Gerald Wayne Styers, Jr., of Waller; DAUGHTER: Ashley Nicole Williams and her fiancé, Brandon Pike, of Pattison; STEPSON: Robert Williams and his wife, Nikki, of North Zulch; GRANDCHILDREN: Trinten Styers and Kaitlynn Styers; STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Skyler Williams, Brody Williams and Addy Williams; BROTHERS: Louis Spinks and his wife, Linda, of Germantown, MD, Sam Spinks and his wife, Dottie, of Odessa, David Spinks of Livingston; SISTER: Carol Sue Hernandez and her husband, Lee, of Livingston; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kathryn Farguson.
