Lillie Marie (Slovak) Shupak

LILLIE MARIE (SLOVAK) SHUPAK, 85, of Bellville, Texas passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, in Brenham. She was born March 31, 1932, in Frydek, Texas, the daughter of Eddie and Mary (Schiller) Slovak. Lillie was baptized in Nelsonville, Texas, at the Nelsonville Brethren Church by Antone Matischka, and confirmed at Wesley Brethren Church in Wesley by Rev. Beseda, Jr.  She grew up in the Bleiblerville area, and attended Victoria School.  Lillie was united in marriage to Edwin Shupak, on April 15, 1950, in Caldwell, Texas.  She was a member of the Nelsonville Brethren Church.  Lillie was a former treasurer for the church, treasurer for the Christian Sisters, and helped with the memorial fund. She was also the secretary/treasurer for the SPJST Lodge #201.  Lillie is survived by her daughter: Cookie and Jimmy Loesch, of Brenham; sons: Ed and Dee Shupak and Ronnie and Kim Shupak, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Rachel and Pat Sandoval , Stacey and Jason Bolcerek, Melissa Shupak, Luke and Victoria Shupak, Shane and Alexis  Shupak, Brandon Shupak, and Karianne and Kent Cook; great grandchildren: Dylan and Blake Huffman, Blane and Bailey Bolcerek, Abigail and Juliana Shupak, Thomas Cook, Kyndall Shupak, Wyatt Summers and infant boy Shupak on the way; sister: Gladys Janczak of Rosenberg and Geraldine Braswell of Pasadena and numerous other family and dear friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Shupak, Sr., parents, Eddie and Mary Slovak, brother and sister-in-law, Edwin “Sonny” and Kathleen Slovak and brother-in-law, Lawrence Janczak.Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the: Nelsonville Brethren ChurchChristian Sisters332 Nelsonville Church RoadBellville, Texas 77418
