Linda Diane Ginn, 71, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in Houston, Texas.
Linda was born on September 8, 1947, in Sealy, Texas, the daughter of Norman and Alma (Keuneke) Ginn. She grew up in Pattison, Texas, attending school and playing basketball in Royal ISD. Linda had an independent spirit and was not afraid to tackle anything. She worked hard in various professions throughout her life, including bartending in Las Vegas, Nevada and Baytown, Texas, forklift driver and timekeeper at B&R, web page constructor for the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and Brubaker’s Blue Barn Fun Farm where she also tended animals, quality control at Goulds Pumps, and night clerk at Walmart. In her free time, Linda enjoyed playing Texas Holdem online for free and was a big Green Bay Packers fan, Aaron Rogers being her favorite player. Linda liked to cook. Her bread, kolaches, pies, and BBQ will be missed by all who had the privilege to experience them. Linda had a big heart for not only people, but animals as well, wild or domestic. She had a knack for finding animals that needed her. Therefore, among the dogs, horses, and cats she always had around, she raised white rats, opossums, and a blue jay, named Old Blue.
Linda is survived by her brothers, Julius Ginn of Canyon Lake and Norman Ginn, Jr. of Bryan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Diane Floyd; husband: Thomas Stevenson; parents: Norman and Alma Ginn; and brother: Harold Ginn.
