Lois Marie Fletcher (Jackson), 75, passed away peacefully at home in Bellville, Tx, on September 3, 2024, with several family members by her side. She was born in Lennox, California (Los Angeles County) on November 24, 1948. She is preceded in death by her mother: Neldene Holmes Jackson, father: Robert Leon Jackson, brother: Larry Marvin Osborne, son: Christopher Terry Ables and stepson: Michael Wayne Fletcher. Lois moved to Houston as a young child and graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1968. She spent the next several decades working and living in Houston. She spent numerous years working for a beverage distributor and ultimately retiring from the US Attorney’s office. Lois and Sam loved to dance and often found themselves making their own dance floor where ever they may be. She loved the little get-a-ways her and Sam used to take to the Texas Hill Country. They recently moved to Bellville to be closer to family, where she immediately fell in love with and adjusted to the small-town life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lois is survived by her husband of 29 years: Sammie Glenn Fletcher; son: Gregory Scott Ables (wife Mindy); brothers: Robert Leon Jackson Jr., Randall Scott Jackson (wife Colleen), and Jerry Neal Osborne (wife Jo Anne); stepson: Mark Thomas Fletcher (wife Janice); stepdaughters: Amy Marie Fletcher, and Michelle Renee Nichols (husband Morgan); sister-in-law: Deanna Osborne; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 7 nieces; 3 nephews; and many other family members and friends who were important in creating many beautiful memories in Lois’ life. Private memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
