Lynda was born on February 9, 1947, in Coal City, WV, to Carl and Geneva Gravely. She was the oldest of three children: Martin D. Gravely and Jeannie Troughton.
Lynda married J. Calvin Webb, whom she first met in the 2nd Grade, on March 17, 1967, at Clairmont Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. They began dating in Cross Keys High School, where both graduated in 1965.
In the late 1960s, Lynda worked for Southern Bell and Chevrolet Processing Center, where orders were processed. She attended Hill College during the late 1970s. She also worked as the church secretary in several churches through the years. When asked what she did for a living, she always said, "The Lord called me to take care of my husband and family!"
Lynda is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. J. Calvin Webb (Brookshire, TX), Rev. Dr. Wendell L. Webb (Jonesboro, GA), and Rev. Dr. Christopher and Kristin Webb (Tyler, TX).
Her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Joshua Webb (Jonesboro, GA) and Tyler, Timothy, and Rachel Webb (Tyler, TX), are survivors. Her sister, Jeannie R. Troughton (Dr. Dennis Troughton), also survives in Buford, GA.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Geneva Gravely, and her brother, Martin D. Gravely.
As she lay dying in the hospital the week of her death, her husband read Proverbs 31:10-31 to her several times, telling her that his depicted her as the wife "worth far more than rubies."
