Marcus Alfred Boyd

MARCUS ALFRED BOYD, a faithful Christian and beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend met his Lord on April 23, 2011. He was born in Boulder, CO, March 15, 1944, but moved to Houston, TX at the age of five. Marc was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He attended San Jacinto High School and started at Texas Tech University before being joining the Air Force where he served for 4 years, including a year in Vietnam. After his service, he returned to Houston and completed a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, while employed at Houston Engineering Research Company (HERCO). It was there Marc met his wife-to-be, Sally Loner. The two found that each made the other complete, and they treated the majority of their 31 years of marriage as if they were newlyweds. Marc worked for Conoco for 15 years before retiring and buying land in Waller County, where they moved in 2000. He is survived by his loving WIFE: Sally Boyd, of Brookshire; BROTHER: Timmothy Boyd and his wife, Bettye, of Pearland; NIECES: Lori Tanner and her husband, Anthony, of Mississippi and Katy Wilk and her husband, Rick, of San Antonio. Marc was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kirk. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Pattison, TX, with Pastor Donald Loeschen officiating.
