Margaret Elizabeth Wilson was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1932, in Houston, Texas, to Edmond Foster Greb and Mamie Louise (Curtis) Greb. She passed gently into the presence of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
After living 67 years as a city girl, Margaret lived her last 23 years as a “country girl” in Pattison, Texas. She was a member of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison. Margaret leaves the legacy of a life lived with courage and gratitude, facing any challenge in her life with the belief that “God was going to take care of” whatever she was facing; and he never disappointed her!
Among the many beautiful attributes Margaret possessed, the ones which stood out the most were her generosity to those in need, her sacrificial love and care for her family, her willingness to forgive quickly and never hold a grudge, her ability to believe the best about others, and her positive, upbeat response to life without ever complaining.
Margaret, along with CD, her loving husband of 65 years, excelled in making wise decisions and profitable investments in their construction business. However, her greatest investment was her family and friends. In the years before his death, Margaret and CD always prayed together for the needs of others before bedtime, a ministry she continued until God called her home. Margaret took great pride in decorating her lovely home, making sure it was always “company ready.” Her kitchen pantry was always stocked with Pillsbury Family Style Brownie Mix that she would whip up hot while she poured you a cup of coffee.
As “Grandma,” she was always waiting in the wings, ready to fill any need that might arise, especially trips to Burger King with the grandkids, a regular necessity! In her older years as “GiGi” (Great-Grandma), she always took special delight in the “babies,” as she referred to them, relishing every visit.
With heavy yet rejoicing hearts, we say goodbye to you for now, remembering that we who are left do not grieve as this world grieves, for we have the confidence of eternal life in Jesus Christ and we know we will see you again, along with our loved ones you have joined.
“You have fought the good fight.
You have finished your race.
You have kept the faith.” – 2 Tim. 4:7
Well Done, Mom…Very Well Done!
