MARGARET (CROSSETT) POULTER of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, in Sealy, Texas, at the age of 91.
Margaret was born July 30, 1927, in McCrory, Arkansas, the daughter of Hansel and Mary (Douglas) Crossett. She grew up and attended school in McCrory. After graduating from high school, Margaret moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1952, she relocated to Houston, Texas where she met the love of her life, James Albert Poulter. They were married on November 25, 1953, in Houston. Margaret and Jim have made their home in Brookshire, Texas, and have been members of the Pattison United Methodist Church.
During her working years, Margaret was employed as an Elementary School Cafeteria Manager. She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and quilting.
Margaret is survived by her husband of over 65 years: James Albert Poulter of Brookshire; daughters: Cynthia Murphey and her husband, Charles, of Houston, and Phyllis Jones and her husband, Crist, of Austin; and son: James Poulter of Houston; granddaughter: Jessica Huffman and her husband, Jason, of Hurst; great grandson: Colton Huffman, also of Hurst; brother: Benny Crossett and his wife, Audrey, of Walls, Mississippi; sister: Amma Sue Bynum and her husband, Bill of Saulsbury, Tennessee; and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.
