Margaret Faye Sloat

June 2, 1940 — August 3, 2020

MARGARET FAYE SLOAT, 80, of Pattison, Texas, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 3, 2020, in Pattison, Texas.

Faye was born June 2, 1940, in Alexander City, Alabama, the daughter of Buster and Georgia (Wood) Jarvis. After graduating from high school in Pensacola, Florida, she attended college, earning an associate degree. On September 24, 1959, she was united in marriage to Ev Sloat in Pensacola, Florida. Ev and Faye made their home and raised their family in Brookshire, Texas. Faye was a caregiver for many years at Willow River Farms assisted living facility. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and gardening. She was a devout Christian and active in several area churches.

Faye is survived by her sons: David Eric Sloat of Dallas, Texas, and Timothy Alan Sloat and wife, Karlin, of Streetman, Texas; grandchildren: Sarah Jane and Jessica Sloat, both in the U.S. Navy; great-grandchild: Evelyn Grace Noelle; and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ev Sloat; parents: Buster and Georgia Jarvis; brother: Hoyt Jarvis; and son: Michael Kevin Sloat.
