MARGIE ANN QUINTERS REYNOLDS, 86, of Katy, Texas, formally of Bleiblerville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Houston, Texas.
She was born April 25, 1938, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Phillip Edward and Mary Bertha Skulley Quinters. Margie was one of seven children and grew up in Houston. She attended Catholic school and graduated from Incarnate Word in Houston in 1957.
Margie was united in marriage to Roland Randolph Reynolds, on June 5, 1957, in Houston, Texas at the Holy Name Catholic Church. They were the proud parents to five boys. She was a devoted wife and mother, but by far her greatest accomplishment was her boys. They lived and traveled to many parts of the world since Roland was in the Air Force; Lake Charles, Louisiana, Indiana, England, San Antonio, Rantoul Illinois, Shreveport (Lake Bistineau), Louisiana, until finally settling in Bleiberville after Roland retired from the Air Force to be close to her sister, Juanita. They made their home in Bleiblerville for many years, before moving to Katy to be closer to their doctors. A devout catholic, they were members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Industry, where for many years she sang in the church choir.
Margie worked in Bellville at Colonial Belle Nursing Home, their business in Bleiblerville, R&W Service Center and eventually retiring to be a Housewife and Homemaker. In her early years, she and Roland loved to bowl on their bowling teams, dancing every weekend, riding motorcycles, camping, knitting, and crocheting. In her later years, she found her love for the Houston Astros; she was an avid fan. Every Spring Roland would have to get her scorecards ready for her binder. She would talk about the Astros to anyone who would listen, especially with her granddaughter, Mallory. She knew the rules and players better than the manager of the team. When her Astros were playing, no phone calls and no visitors were allowed. There was hardly a day that you would not catch her sporting one of her many Astros spirit shirts. Without a doubt, she is cheering them on from the best seat in the house, especially her favorite player, Jeremy Pena.
Margie is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years: Roland R. Reynolds of Katy; sons: Kenny Reynolds (Mary), and Mark Reynolds (Cheryl); all of Bellville, David Reynolds (Susan), of Wimberley, and Michael Reynolds (Donna), of Katy; grandchildren: Kristen Thomason (Ryan), of Victoria, Kyle Reynolds of Palmer, AK, Jessica Reynolds of Monroe, North Carolina, Dustin Reynolds (Melissa), of Orange Grove, Timmy Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, and Patrick Reynolds; all of Port Huron, MI, Justin Reynolds and his fiancé, Ashlynn, of Bellville, Mallory Reynolds, and Presley Reynolds; both of Katy; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother: Phillip E. Quinters (Wanda), of Columbia, South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Phillip and Mary Quinters; son: Timothy Reynolds; siblings: MSGR Elmer Thomas Quinters, Sr Betha Mae Quinters, CVI, Edward Patrick (Anna Mae) Quinters, Juanita Pauline Swonke, and James Adrian (Marie) Quinters.
