Maria Guadalupe Rios

MARIA GUADALUPE GARCIA RIOS, 74, of Katy, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, in Houston, Texas.

Maria was born June 21, 1944, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to parents Luis and Francisca Teran Garcia.  She grew up in Mexico, and in 1963, she was united in marriage with Filiberto Rios in Altamira, Mexico.  Maria and Filiberto moved to Katy, Texas in 1995, where they have been members of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

Maria’s life’s work was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.  She enjoyed making tamales.

She is survived by her husband:  Filiberto Rios; children:  José Rios, Martha Rios, Olga Rios and her husband, Alex Padilla, Rigoberto Rios and his wife, Aurora, and Antonio Rios, all of Katy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Filiberto Rios, Jr.
