Maria Perez

MARIA VENTURA (RODRIGUEZ) PEREZ, 77, of Brookshire, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.

Maria was born July 6, 1942, in Nochistlan, Zacatecas, Mexico, to parents J. Trancito and Maria Refugio (Aguayo)  Rodriguez.  She grew up and attended school in Mexico.  On February 23, 1961, she was united in marriage with Enrique Perez in Mexico.  They moved to the United States in 1997, and have made their home in Brookshire, Texas.

Maria and Enrique have been members of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Katy.  A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Maria worked at making a home for her family, and treasured the time she was able to spend with them.  She loved horses and enjoyed riding.

Maria is survived by her daughters:  Maria Paz Ortiz of Huntsville, Alabama, Rosario Perez of Houston, Texas, Felicitas Salazar and husband, Fidel, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Gloria Guzman and husband, Antonio, Luz Henson and husband, David, Maria Garcia and husband, Rigoberto, and Silvia Perez and husband, Samuel, all of Houston, Texas; and sons:  Benito Perez and wife, Isabel, of Richmond, Texas, Ismael Perez and wife, Eva, of Houston, Texas, Enrique Perez of Brookshire, Texas, and Saul Perez of Hockley, Texas.  She is also survived by her sisters:  Genoveba Ridriguez, Salome    Rodriquez and husband, Margarito Rivera, and Rosa Rodriguez, all of Mexico; brother:  Vicente Rodriguez and wife, Nativad, also of Mexico; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Enrique Perez, and one son, Joel Perez.
