Mary (Nolte) Dalzell

MARY (NOLTE) DALZELL, 94, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Katy, Texas.She was born March 28, 1923, in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Joseph W. and Ardala (Hildebrandt) Nolte. Mary grew up and attended schools in Bellville, graduating from Bellville High School in 1940. She was employed as a receptionist in the medical field. Mary was united in marriage to Joseph “Buddy” Dalzell on January 19, 1994. She enjoyed sewing and playing dominoes. Mary was an avid fan of her #1 baseball team, The Astros; the highlight of her later years was being able to watch her Astros win The World Series. Mary is survived by her daughters: Denise Lewis of Katy and Kim Lookingbill and her husband, Gary, of New Ulm; son: Jay Heidecker and his wife, Amy, of Corpus Christi; nine grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; sister: Verda Bell Westermann of Bellville.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dalzell, parents, Joseph and Ardala Nolte, sisters, Flora Lee Loscher and Mildred D’Olive.Thank you to all the caregivers at Sunrise Senior Living in Katy, Texas.Pallbearers are: Chris McLane, Steven Cameron, Ross Heidecker, Jason Heidecker, Curtis Glueck and Greg Glueck.Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to thePrairie Lea Cemetery508 South Jackson StreetBrenham, Texas 77833
