Mauldine Lamar (Stuessel) Schubert

MAULDINE LAMAR (STUESSEL) SCHUBERT, 81, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017, at her home. She was born November 4, 1935, in Cat Spring, Texas, the daughter of Theodore Ted and Annie (Bender) Stuessel. Mauldine grew up and attended schools in the Cat Spring area, graduating from Sealy High School.  She moved to Sealy at the age of twenty five.  Mauldine was united in marriage to Edward Earl Schubert, on February 11, 1956, in Cat Spring, Texas.  She was employed as a cashier with San Bernard Electric Co-op in Bellville.  Mauldine was a constant companion to her husband Edward. She loved studying the word of God, reading, gardening and loved animals. Mauldine is survived by her cat: Baby and her three dogs: Buttons, Spottie and Maggie; brother: Clifton Stuessel and his wife, Florine, of Rockdale; nephew: Kenny Brast and his wife, Jennifer; niece: Debbie Brast; great nieces and nephews: Ryan, Garrett and Brieanna. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and dear friends. Mauldine was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Schubert, parents: Theodore and Annie Stuessel and her grandparents. A very special thank you to C.W. and Gayle Waak for your countless hours, love, care, support, and the joy you both brought to Mauldine. The family and friends would like to thank Mauldine’s caregivers, Monisha Briscoe, Gloria Arevalo, Sylvia Briscoe, Angela Briscoe, Jill McGinty-Falk and Sarah Lardi of all of their love and care.Pallbearers: Garrett Brast, Dylan Brast, Kenny Brast, Lee Sikes, John Bowman and Rayland Pless.Honorary Pallbearers: Employees of San Bernard Electric CO-OP, Doug Hodges, Kenneth Stuessel, Ed Zubechek, Brieanna Brast and C.W.Waak.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Animal Shelter or Animal Rescue.
