MELBA C. (STEWART) JOHNSON, 83, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, in Bellville.She was born November 13, 1934, in Cuero, Texas, the daughter of Eddie and Kathy (Holland) Stewart. Melba moved to Houston at a very young age. She was united in marriage to Felix Johnson on March 25, 1951, in Humble, Texas. Melba enjoyed gardening and loved animals. She is survived by her daughters: Theresa Parker and Gwen Zapalac and her husband, Greg, all of Bellville; grandchildren: Brandi Killough and her husband, Jay, of Crosby, Damon Parker and his wife, Jenny, of New Braunfels, Amber Friedrich and her husband, Ben, of Bryan, Mark Zapalac and his wife, Sarah, and Justin Zapalac and his girlfriend, Erica Johnson, all of Bellville; grandchildren: Taylor and Allie Killough, Kennedy Friedrich, and Brylee Jo Zapalac; and great granddogs: Permit and Marley, Oscar and Toby, Bailey, Malaki and Pivo.Melba was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Johnson, parents, Eddie and Kathy Stewart, son, Randall and brother, Meloon and son-in-law, Walter Parker.Honorary Pallbearers were her grandsons: Damon Parker, Mark Zapalac, Justin Zapalac, Jay Killough and Ben Friedrich.Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to:Compassionate Care Hospice3833 South Texas Avenue, #100Bryan, Texas 77802or to the charity of their choice.
