Melvin Douglas Harrison

MELVIN DOUGLAS HARRISON, 78, of Buffalo, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019, in Bryan, Texas.

Doug was born February 20, 1941, in Sealy, Texas, to parents Frank Melvin and Elsie Emilie (Schumacher) Harrison.  He grew up and attended school in Pattison, graduating from Pattison High School. Doug married Roberta Fruge on August 6, 1965, in Brookshire.  They made their home in Pattison where they were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Doug was employed as a math teacher working in the Waller, Bellville, and Leon Independent School Districts.  Doug and Roberta have most recently made their home in Buffalo, Texas. Doug was very mechanically inclined and loved working with his tools and on trucks and tractors.  He also enjoyed his guns.

He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years:  Roberta Harrison of Buffalo; two daughters:  Audry Salvador and her husband, Vincent, of Victoria, and Heather Harrison of Hockley; son:  Mark Harrison of Sugar Land; grandchildren:  Melissa Rodriguez, Nicholas Harrison, Amber Harrison, Elizabeth Salvador, Jacob Salvador, Katie Salvador and Christina Salvador; great grandchildren:  Triston Rodriguez and Olivia Rodriguez; and one sister:  Barbara LaFleur and her husband, Wilbert, of Buffalo; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.
