Michael Doyle Satterwhite, Sr.

Michael Doyle Satterwhite, 73, of Bellville, Texas, passed on to be with his Savior on February 2, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Michael was born on August 1, 1950, to Doyle and Joy Satterwhite in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1969. In May 1970 he enlisted in the United States Air Force reserves. Michael enjoyed riding horses and was a jockey in Houston, Texas training quarter horses. He also loved hunting and fishing with friends and family. He loved his Bible and praised his Savior. Michael moved to Bellville after his parents had moved to the area. He had been a steel products salesman in Houston. Michael was an Independent semi-truck Owner/Operator and the loads that he enjoyed hauling most were super-oversized oil field equipment and other parts requiring special permits and pilots. Michael married the love of his life, Kathleen Stafford of Bellville, Texas. They married at Bellville United Methodist Church on Valentine’s Day of 1975. They celebrated 45 years of marriage and enjoyed raising their two sons.

Michael is survived by his sons Michael D. Satterwhite II and Tyler A. Satterwhite both of Bellville, Texas. Grandson Michael D. Satterwhite III, granddaughter Taylor E. Satterwhite. Brother, Clint Satterwhite of Plano, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was reunited in Heaven with his parents Doyle and Joy Satterwhite, his wife Kathy, and his brother, Kris Satterwhite.
