MICHAEL BRIAN “Mike” WAYBOURN, 63, of Bellville, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 18, 2024, in Bellville.
He was born on February 7, 1961, in Bellaire, Texas, the son of Ted and Joyce Waybourn. Mike grew up and attended schools in the Bellaire area, graduating from Bellaire High School in 1980. After graduation, he was employed with Horton Draperies and then went on to work for Hewlett Packard (formerly known as Compaq), as an Assembly Technician where he built and serviced computers for 29 years. He was currently employed by T.F. Hudgins as an Assembly Technician where he built, repaired, and tested HP 50 Lube Oil Pumps and Lubricator Boxes for the LDPE Plants throughout the world. In his spare time, Mike also had his own construction business. He loved helping others and working with his hands to complete tasks for his many friends and customers. He was always just a phone call away and would drop everything to help others. Mike was the true definition of having a servant’s heart.
Mike was united in marriage to Charlotte Christopher, his best friend of 22 years, on January 7, 2009, in Hempstead, Texas. They made their home in Bellville, where he enjoyed his time with his family, especially his amazing grandchildren. Mike was so proud of their accomplishments and being involved with them was where his heart was happy. He never missed an opportunity to show up and cheer them on. He also loved camping, being outdoors, and cooking for others in local and area Barbeque competitions.
Mike is survived by his loving wife: Charlotte Waybourn of Bellville; Siblings: Joy Gerace of Red Rock, Debbie Waybourn of Katy, Donna Cope of Katy, Mary Waybourn and her husband, Johnny, of Madison, AL, Kevin Waybourn and his wife, Kristi, of Taylor, and Keith Waybourn and his wife, Autumn, of Kingwood; Children: Jonathan Waybourn and his wife, Elsa, of Katy, Lee Mundy and his wife, Jucel, of Bellville, JuliAnne Melton and her husband, Craig, of Pattison, and Haley Montez of Bellville; grandchildren: Charlotte Montez, Nathan Waybourn, Rory Melton, Rylee Melton, Isaiah Montez, Samuel Montez, Nickolas Waybourn, and Tre Mundy; his special four-legged babies: Duke, and Shadow; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many dear friends, coworkers, and customers.
