Neva Louise (Mosier) Ray

July 31, 1915 — May 3, 2017

  NEVA LOUISE (MOSIER) RAY, 101, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her home. She was born July 31, 1915, in Mullins, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Emma Lee Ila Mosier.   Neva grew up and attended schools in the Mullins area, graduating from Mullins High School.   She was employed at Camp Bowie and Army Air Force Base, in Brownwood, Texas, during World War II and following the war, Neva worked on the Good Fellow Air Force Base as a civilian employee, in San Angelo, Texas.  She retired after thirty five years of service from the Social Security Administration Office. Neva was devoted to being a loving mother and NeNaw to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Neva is survived by her daughter, Joann Alexander of Caldwell; grandchildren: Craig, Lisa, Bonta and Tonya; great grandchildren: Sunya, Starla, Joshua, James, Tasha, Cody, Kiah and Neva; and her great great grandchildren: Jaxson, Journey, Jett, Jagger, Jase, Judd, Kenner, Kyleigh, Kingsley, Zac, Zeke, Riley, Carter, Kenna, Kent, Kace, Kyler, and Kynder. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, granddaughter, Tracy, brothers, Roy and Vernon and sisters, Stella and Johnnie.   Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to Brazos Valley Hospice, 302 East Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of their choice.
