Nicy Lunette Burkham

Nicy Lunette (Hicks) Burkham, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Lunette was born January 31, 1940, in Altha, Florida, to parents Randall and Alice (Lamb) Hicks. She grew up in Altha and attended school at Altha High School before moving to Houston. On January 31, 1965, Lunette was united in marriage to William Burkham in Houston. A homemaker, Lunette was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her spare time, Lunette enjoyed playing bingo and trying her luck with the lottery.

She is survived by her daughters: Deann Caldwell and husband, Will, of Katy and Carla Groff and husband, Robert, of Lufkin; granddaughters: Julia Cane and husband, Chris, of Houston, Brytnee Burkham of La Porte, and Matlyn Smith of Baytown; grandsons: Deven Smith and wife, Rebecca, of Pasadena, Bryce Burkham of La Porte, and Triston Groff; six great-grandchildren; sister: Linda Hicks of Altha, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Lunette was preceded in death by her husband: William Burkham; sons: Ian Burkham and Shawn Burkham; granddaughter: Amber Burhkam; and parents: Randall and Alice Hicks.
