Nora Guevara Alvarez

NORA GUEVARA ALVAREZ went to heaven on Monday, August 22, 2022, in Sealy, Texas, passing peacefully.

She was born May 7, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Jesus and Elvira (Aguero) Guevara. Nora grew up and attended schools in the San Antonio area, graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 1982. She was united in marriage to Guillermo Alvarez, on February 2, 1985, in Bellville, Texas.

Nora was known for being loyal and committed to her family and her career in hospitality. Throughout her life, Nora enjoyed taking family trips, and listening to her favorite artist, George Strait, and was an avid shopper fueling her purse addiction. Her greatest pleasure was received when spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Guillermo Alvarez, daughters: Gracie Alvarez and her husband, Horacio Murillo, Gloria Alvarez and her husband, Chance Norris and Laura Alvarez; son: Ricardo Alvarez; granddaughters: Aundrea Alvarez, Sophia Grace Murillo, Alyssa Alvarez, Maxine Alvarez, and Ava Phoenix Norris; grandsons: Francisco Murillo, Hector Murillo, and A.J. Alvarez. Nora will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Everyone who knew her will greatly cherish her impact on their lives.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Elvira Guevara, and her sisters, and brothers.
