NORMA ZANE (KOLLMAN) VIRNAU, 90, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, in Industry, Texas.
She was born December 4, 1928, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Harry and Billie (Hopkins) Kollman. Zane grew up and attended schools in the Hondo area, graduating from Hondo High School. After high school, she became a student at the University of Texas in Austin.
Norma Zane was a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church, Bluebonnet Society, the Pin Oak Horse Shows and the Austin County Fair. She enjoyed horseback riding, playing bridge and the card game “Hate your neighbor” and jigsaw puzzles.
Norma Zane is survived by her daughters: Bebe Hayward of Brenham and Sherri Thompson of Dallas; son: Terry Willhoite of Denton; “favorite” grandson: Michael Lee Hayward of Brenham; grandsons: Jeff Thompson and his wife, Michelle, of San Antonio and Kirk Willhoite and his wife, Amber, of New Mexico; granddaughter: Kim Thompson of Beaumont; six great grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Virnau, parents, Harry and Billie Kollman.
