Pamela Ann Hovas, 76, affectionately known as Pammy, passed away on August 15, 2024, at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, John and Diane Hovas in Brookshire, Texas. She was born in Fort Worth Texas on March 27, 1948, to Edward & Jean Hovas.
She grew up and attended school in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Lamar High School and then attended Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas.
She spent her work life in the Insurance business.
She devoted her life to the Houston SPCA and spent many hours volunteering.
She enjoyed cheering for the Houston Texans and the Astros, but especially enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, Carla Stenson, Owena Cochran and Mary Gomez.
Pam is survived by her brother: John Hovas and wife, Diane of Brookshire, Texas; sister: Patricia Russ of Gilroy, California; niece: Devin McDowell, her husband Shawn and daughter, Aubrey, of Katy, Texas; nephews: Eddie Hovas and his children Hayden and Addisyn of Sealy, Texas and Greg Hovas, his wife Christie and their children, Cameron and Maddie of Hockley, Texas.
She was preceded in death by both her parents Ed and Jean Hovas, her sister, Soghme Simmons, and her brother Tommy Hovas.
Pall Bearers are Stann Sterling, Eddie Hovas, Greg Hovas, Billy Johnson, Shawn McDowell, and John Hovas.
Honorary Pall Bearer is Tommy Cochran.
