Patricio Alegria

Patricio Alegria, 87, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Patricio was born January 7, 1934, in Laredo, Texas, the son of Genaro and Otila (Flores) Alegria. He grew up in the Laredo area and later traveled across Texas and the Middle East. For 34 years, Patricio was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic at HB Zachry. He enjoyed watching classic westerns and wrestling, smoking Camels, and drinking coffee. Patricio was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.

He is survived by his children:  Patricio Alegria, Jr. and wife, Linda Darlene, of Brookshire, Irma Edna Alegria and husband, Jose Liendo, of Brookshire, Gloria Alegria of Brookshire, Genaro Alegria and wife, Irene, of Brookshire, Jesus Alegria and wife, Josie, of San Antonio, Debbie Alegria and husband, Rosendo Zavala, of Brookshire, and Peter Alegria and wife, Weslie, of Brookshire. Patricio is also survived by his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Patricio is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
