Paul Harold Long, 75, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born September 30, 1941, in Johnsville, Ohio, the son of George Orlan and Florence Elizabeth (Dale) Long. Paul grew up in New Lebanon, Ohio and graduated from Dixie High School. He lived in New Lebanon, Ohio until 1977 when he moved his family and himself to Texas. Paul worked for John Hancock Insurance, York Heating and Air Conditioning, owned his own computer repair business, and as a Volunteer Firefighter for Brookshire Fire Department. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Al Long, his wife Sylvia Chase Long, and ex-wife, Judy Johns. He is survived by his daughter: Kim Kutach and her husband, Robert of Weimar, Texas; son: Scott Long of Mount Enterprise, Texas, stepchildren: Coby Chase of Austin, Texas; and Charlo Chase of Houston, Texas. Grandchildren: Angie Burns and her husband, Eric of Raleigh, North Carolina, Trey Kutach of Houston, Texas; Sean Long of Mount Enterprise, Texas; Christa Long of Houston, Texas; great grandchildren: Cameron Burns of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother: Bob Long and his wife, Lisa of Waynesville, Ohio; sister: Donna Shepherd and her husband, Steve of Somerville, Ohio.
