Phillip Wroxton Tyler

Phillip Wroxton Tyler, 71, of Hempstead, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Phillip was born July 31, 1950, in Navasota, Texas, to Leon Hartwell and Nadyne Marjorie (Briggs) Tyler. He grew up all over Texas, graduating from Mission High School in Mission, Texas. Phillip also attended Florida Bible College. In 2005, he made his home in Hempstead, Texas. Phillip was a land surveyor for 38+ years, the last 18 of which was for BGE, Inc., before retiring in 2012. He was a godly man and a member of Grace Community Church in Pharr, Texas. Phillip enjoyed reading and watching movies, especially westerns. His passion was his dogs and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son: Shane Tyler and wife, Summer, of Katy; grandchildren: Charity and Riley Tyler, both of Conroe; future grandson: Noah Tyler; sister: Vonne Tyler of Hempstead; niece: Erin Cooley and husband, Will, of Spring Branch; nephew: Kelley Berg and wife, Stacie, of the Woodlands; great-niece: Gabby Berg; great-nephew: Trey Cooley and wife, Kristen, of Tampa, Florida; and many cousins and friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Nadyne Tyler, and sister, Cynthia.
