RAMONA KAY (ORTEZ) STANKIEWICZ, 71, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, at her home. She was born March 9, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Raymond Peter and Patricia (Speer) Ortez. Ramona grew up and attended schools in the Omaha and Kansas City areas. She was a beautician by trade but had enjoyed many different opportunities throughout her life within the healthcare system. Ramona was united in marriage in 1970, to Thomas Stankiewicz in Omaha, Nebraska, and they celebrated almost 50 years of marriage together before his passing on Easter Sunday, 2020. She was deeply loved by her large family and friends; known for her extremely kind and loving heart, her laughter, her strength in the face of significant health adversities, and the absolute joy she brought to a room just by being in it. Her greatest joys in life came from being with her husband Tom, they were always the last couple on the dance floor at any family gathering, and spending time with all of her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. Ramona is survived by her daughters: Toni Williams and her husband, Randy, of Sealy, TX, and Alexis Suggitt and her husband, Michael, of Plano, TX; and her ‘adopted’ daughter: Tiffany Edwards of Richmond, TX; grandchildren: Courtney Williams of Temple, TX, Christina Williams of College Station, TX, Eliza Suggitt of Plano, TX, and Lincoln Suggitt of Plano, TX; and her special grandson: Ayden Cox of Richmond, TX; aunt: Elsie Barbosa of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters: Connie Viator, Linda Walters (Lee), Trenna Cooper, Rosemary Lynch (Leroy), and Toni Ortez; brother: Lonnie Ortez; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, and her parents, Raymond and Patricia Ortez.
