Reba Gillespie Thompson

Reba Thompson, 89, of Coushatte, passed away peacefully October 17th at her home on Thompson Hereford Ranch.Reba was born December 10, 1928 in Brenham, TX to Agnes and Jesse Gillespie. Reba graduated from Brenham High School in 1947, and then attended Blinn College. After college, she worked at Stone Abstract Co., and then in 1948 began working for Washington County Agricultural Agency office. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women’s Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Reba and Doug Thompson married in 1958. Reba enjoyed sewing, working in her yard and helping Doug with the Herefords. She had a special knack for making beef roast gravy, teacake cookies and pies. She enjoyed her Joy Sunday School Class and the fellowship found at Tony’s Restaurant. Reba is preceded in death by her husband Doug, parents, three brothers, and her beloved “Sister”, Delores Perry. Survivors include: daughter Alida Marie Thompson, grandchildren Sissy Pettiette and Michael Pettiette, stepchildren Shirley Krumrey and Bubba Thompson, niece Pam Perry Maddox, and nephew Howard Perry.Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the:Houston Area Parkinson Society2700 Southwest Freeway, Suite 296Houston, Texas 77098or to the charity of their choice
