RONALD LEE IRVINE, 57, of Hempstead, Texas, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, in Hempstead. He was born May 15, 1960, in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Carroll and Geneva (Dick) Irvine. Ronald grew up and attended schools in the Sulphur Springs, Indiana, graduating from Shenandoah High School, in 1978. Ron served in the U. S. Air Force at Hickam A.F. Base in Hawaii, where he began his engineering education, which led to his certification through the U.S. Coast Guard.  Ron moved to Texas in 1982, and worked as a Chief Engineer for Offshore Supply Vehicles in the Gulf and Pacific Ocean for over twenty years.   He was united in marriage to Divonna Hold, on November 22, 2003, in Montgomery County, Texas. Later, they made their home in Hempstead, Texas.  Ronald is survived by his wife of over 13 years: Divonna Irvine of Hempstead, Texas; parents: Carroll and Geneva Irvine, of Sulphur Spring, Indiana; sister: Caroline (Dave) Latzen, brother: Matthew (Deni) Irvine; nephews: Brant, Eric and Chad Prewitt and Kyle Irvine; niece Danielle McEntee; mother-in-law: Emma Hold and brother-in-law: Keith Hold, both of Industry, Texas and numerous other family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Folger and Beatrice Irvine and Otis and Dessie Dick and father-in-law, James Hold. A Private Memorial Service will take place in Shady Grove, Kentucky. Family wishes to graciously thank the staff of Hospice Brazos Valley for their care of Ronald. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make memorial gifts to Hospice Brazos Valley, 302 East Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833.
