Rose Elizabeth Yarbrough

February 6, 1928 — October 20, 2020

Rose Elizabeth Yarbrough, better known as Aunt Bell or Liz, went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 20, 2020.  Aunt Bell was born to Nick and Clara DiIorio on February 6, 1928.  She now joins her parents, husband:  W. C. “Bill” Yarbrough, brothers:  John, James and Billy, sisters:  Mary King and Annie Lecamu, in Heaven.  She is survived by her sister-in-law:  Angelina DiIorio; and many nieces and nephews.

Aunt Bell worked and retired from Bell Telephone Company after 40 years of service.  She loved her God, family and friends fiercely.  She was a member of the choir and was actively involved in her church, Pattison United Methodist Church.  She was also active in her community, AARP, the Methodist Ladies Group of her church, Waller County Historical Society, Fine Arts Organization and Daughters of the Confederacy.

Aunt Bell was our family prayer warrior.  She prayed diligently for all of us.  We know she is still praying for us.  She was a fabulous cook and was well-known for her butternut squash.  Aunt Bell had no children of her own.  She made all her nieces and nephews feel so special.  She was more than an aunt, she was like another mother or grandmother to us.

Our family would like to thank her special earth angels who lovingly cared for her:  Fannie Vasquez, Melanie Watts, and Vivian Evans and Dorothy Davis.
