Ruth Allyne (Emshoff) Mckinney

RUTH ALLYNE EMSHOFF McKINNEY, 90, of Brenham, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Brenham, Texas.

She was born July 15, 1934, in Brenham, Texas, the daughter of Herbert and Laura Rodenbeck Emshoff.  Ruth grew up and attended schools in the New Wehdem area.  She was united in marriage to Raymond McKinney, on April 22, 1955, in Houston.  Ruth worked as a teller at Houston National Bank and stayed in the banking business until she retired from Chase Bank around 1991.

In 1992, Ruth and Raymond moved to Bellville.  They were members of St. John Lutheran Church.  Ruth and Raymond enjoyed hanging out at Kenney Store with friends and family.  She also enjoyed tending to her garden.

She is survived by her children: Laura Eaton and her husband, Eric, of Missouri City, and Richard McKinney and his wife, Jamie, of Cypress; grandchildren: Elayne McKinney of Navasota, Candace Hein and her husband, Matthew of Pearland, Sydney Eaton of Missouri City, and Jake Eaton of Missouri City; great-grandchildren: Tyler Williams, Paisley Hein, and Lily Hein; and numerous other family members and dear friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond McKinney; parents: Herbert and Laura Emshoff; brother: Howard Emshoff; and sister: Eloise Jackson.

Pallbearers are Jake Eaton, Matthew Hein, Tyler Williams, Robert Winkelmann, Weldon Emshoff, and Paul Nichols.

Honorary Pallbearers is Fred Kollman.
