SAMUEL LEROY MCDANIEL, 84, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, at his home. He was born September 5, 1934, in Stigler, Oklahoma, the son of Levi DeWitt and Idahlie (Wyse) McDaniel. Samuel grew up and attended schools in the Stigler area. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, receiving the National Defense ribbon, United Nations medal, and the 2 -Star Korean Service medal. Samuel was honorable discharged in 1954. He was employed as an electronics technician in the manufacturing industry. Samuel was united in marriage to Peggy Lou Sanders, on January 1, 1954, in Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife: Peggy McDaniel of Bellville; daughters: Mary Carlson and her husband, David, of Bellville, and Nora Bishop of Sealy; son: Charles McDaniel and his wife, Lori, of Bellville; nine grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Idahlie McDaniel and daughter, Vicky McDaniel.
